I am not a stay-at-home mom. Am I cheating myself out of something that later in life I will wish I had? Must be Monday if I'm having these dark thoughts about work.

How lucky I am to have experienced once again the delight in the discovery of play-dough and painting. I had so much fun squishing play-dough through my fingers before work this morning with Avery. And rolling and pressing it into shapes and smelling it (but not eating it) and, of course, smiling. And then later climbing onto the sofa between Eric and me, linking one of each of her little arms through one of each of our, Avery says quite contentedly, "You're my family." Happy sigh.
